RADDCOMM's E-911 Services

RADDCOMM has the RF and Network Engineering expertise and resources to support the wireless service provider in its implementation of Enhanced 911 (E-911) services.  We can assist in the selection of a E-911 Phase I MPC provider and serve as the carrier's liaison to coordinate deployment processes between PSAPs and the MPC provider.  We can also provide assistance in the development of cost-recovery plans and coordinate with the LEC for the provisioning of trunk circuits.  Assistance with MSC translations is another service that our engineers can offer to the wireless provider.

We can evaluate Phase II location technologies and vendors for the wireless provider to "narrow the field" of Phase II solutions.  Cost-analysis, contract negotiation, pre-implementation requirements, time-line development and documentation of compliance are also part of the services we can provide to a wireless provider.  Migration to Non Call-path Associated Signaling (NCAS) within a carrier's network to accommodate the implementation Phase II can also be accomplished.

Additional services include site audits to determine space, power and antenna requirements for the E-911 Phase II network elements.  We can investigate additional location based services and products to help the wireless provider recoup some of the costs of deploying E-911 Phase II into their network.

With the compliance deadline rapidly approaching for E-911 Phase II, we believe that the public safety industry is not going to relent in their efforts to encourage the wireless industry into providing some type of Phase II location data.  The wireless carriers that have shown proper due diligence in evaluating location technologies and vendors, as well as cooperating with PSAPs that make Phase II requests will be the ones that can demonstrate to the FCC that they made the effort to implement Phase II.  The wireless carriers that do not make any effort towards compliance will be the ones singled out by the FCC and the Public Safety community for fines and/or forfeitures.  We feel that RADDCOMM can offer the wireless provider the necessary expertise to become compliant with this mandate.  Our engineers have extensive knowledge and experience with the intricacies involved with operating a state of the art wireless communications network.  We offer the wireless provider a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective resource to meet all of the FCC Mandates.
